Despite its older origins, email marketing is still a viable source of affiliate marketing income. Some affiliates have email lists they can use to promote the seller’s products. Others may leverage email newsletters that include hyperlinks to products, earning a commission after the consumer purchases the product. Another method is for the affiliate to cultivate email lists over time. They use their various campaigns to collect emails en masse, then send out emails regarding the products they are promoting.
Blog posts are the bread and butter of any company’s online marketing – but it gets better from there. A good blog post can be extended to an e-book, shortened into a series of videos, parceled out into infographics, and much more. Each different format gives you the opportunity to reach new prospects and build your brand’s thought leadership chops. All this and you save time.
It’s very simple - if your content isn’t that good or can be found somewhere else, your blog will not be successful. Period. In addition, a survey in 2000 in the United Kingdom found that most retailers had not registered their own domain address.[12] These problems made marketers find the digital ways for market development.
Develop a strategy — What problems are you solving? What niche or audience do you want to serve? Outline the above, and determine how you want to get there while offering something unique or a little different. After that, design your brand look and identify your messaging. While you are at it, set an action plan you can live with based on how much time you have to allocate to your affiliate efforts.
This is one of the fundamental online marketing tips for small business. Making it easy for customers to find you won't help until you have a clear enough idea about who your target market is. Do your homework and draft out the personas of potential customers, or the advertising money will sip through your fingers. I’m not suggesting that you should hire a research professional or buy a comprehensive industry analysis.
