With 80% of Internet users regularly browsing the web on a mobile device and Google’s recent decision to reduce the search engine ranking of websites that aren’t optimised for smaller screens, it’s become essential that your website is mobile friendly. Me: I became an Internet marketer long before I even realized I was an Internet marketer. That’s what is so insidious about it. You see, when I was selling dedicated Internet connectivity to companies for PSINet back in 1999, and then Web hosting. I just didn’t get it completely. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. If you only promote one merchant’s products, you are stuck with their commissions, their landing pages, and ultimately, their conversion rates. It is important to work with many different merchants in your niche and promote a wide range of products. I always feel like this was and still is the best blog ever created. This is because of the unique way the blog is posed. The posts have a conversational tone that humanizes the content and makes it easily understandable. In this content marketing blog, you will find posts covering SEO advice, sales, academy, web design and social marketing. It’s a one stop shopping parlor that I recommend checking out.
If you would like to take a more subtle approach, include a product or service from your company that relates into your blog post. For example, let’s say that you are a wine connoisseur and that is what your blog is based around. Find the top blogs in your niche and submit your pieces to be posted as a guest blogger. If possible, introduce yourself and get to know the blogger before sending your pitch to increase your likelihood of being picked up. There are a number of cold email templates you can use to start the conversation. Guest blogging will help increase awareness about your blog, but you also need to include an author bio (typically positioned at the bottom of the blog) with a link connecting readers to your website or an opt-in page to receive an email when you post new blogs.
